In 1226, the Duke of Brabant Henry II decided to build a Gothic church. It was not completed until the early 15th century. The cathedral, with its three gates and two towers offers a magnificent predominance of vertical lines. The facade is built with white stone of Gobertange which gives it a beautiful warm light. This is the ideal place in the city center for beautiful and bright pictures. Gabrielle. Cathedral Saint-Michel-and-Gudule. Brussels. Belgium. |
