The coat of the Chouan.
The Chouans were the royalist insurgents fighting in a civil war that opposed to the Republicans from 1791 to 1799.
This long coat is very large. It closes with a belt but can also be worn open. The large neck opening on the middle and is highlighted by a very wide neck.
The coat length is asymmetrical: it is longer behind than in front. It is beautifully enhanced when worn with boots.
The version for the summer is cotton. It has no lining. It is finished with black color bias.
